NI2C Staff

Hi, everyone! My name is Aleish Cuaresma, and I use she/her pronouns. I am originally from the

Philippines, moved to the United States when I was about 7 years old, and now study psychology

and biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am hoping to pursue a career in

medicine, specifically pediatric and adolescent psychiatry.

With my career interest, I am very passionate about mental health and increasing access and

equality in mental health resources, especially for the youth and underserved communities. I’m

very excited to be an intern with NI2C because the organization aligns with a lot of my values

and interests. I hope to connect and learn from others who have similar passions, as well as gain

meaningful experiences and make a positive contribution to peoples’ lives. I hope to learn more

civic engagement and leadership skills, as well as foster my interests in mental health,

healthcare, and advocacy so I may be able to better serve others in the future.

Aside from academics, I love to be involved in my community. I volunteer regularly, as well as

participate in several clubs across campus, including the Student Doctors Association, the

Baynihan Filipino Culture Club, as well as a book club. When not studying, I love going to the

beach, visiting independent bookstores, trying matcha at new cafes, listening to music, and

reading. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

 My name is Angie Roberts, and I am an undergraduate student at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Human Services with an emphasis in Mental Health. My pronouns are she/her. I am excited to be a part of the VISTA program with the REPAIR team at Nested Integral Coaching Constellation, where I will be contributing to community outreach, capacity building, and supporting accessible wellness initiatives. Being part of this program gives me the opportunity to strengthen my advocacy, leadership, and collaboration skills while working toward my future career in mental health and community support. Outside of my work and studies, I am a passionate animal lover who enjoys spending time with my family and my pets. Through my experience at NI2C, I look forward to learning from my peers, gaining meaningful hands-on experience, and creating a positive community impact. 

Cadence Ardell (she/her) is a Senior at UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Intensive Psychology. Being from the San Francisco Bay Area, after graduation Cadence plans to live in Oakland and continue internship work for a year until applying for graduate school. Her goal is to either attain a Masters in Clinical Psychology at SF State or a PhD at UC Berkeley, but truly her goal is to make people feel understood. Her favorite classes have been Psychopharmacology, the Psychology of Social Biases, and the Psychology of Oppression/Liberation. She is invested in becoming a psychologist and has been since she was very young, dealing with first-hand and second-hand mental health realities. Cadence is grateful for her friends and community and is looking forward to making a positive impact within them. From this internship she hopes to connect with new people with similar interests, apply her knowledge to the mission of NI2C, and above all, engage in this opportunity with understanding, investment, and open mindedness. 

Isaiah Anaya is a fourth-year undergraduate student at UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Intensive Psychology. His interest in NI2C stems from his personal experiences and his passion for using

psychological research to better understand and support communities. One area of particular interest is the Hispanic community, especially helping individuals who are often underrepresented or face barriers to accessing resources due to language barriers. After graduation he plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology, or an MD and become a psychiatrist. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym and hanging out with his pitbull named Luna. Through my academic and community outreach experiences, he

hopes to connect research with real-world impact and to continue building the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the people and communities around who need it.

My name is Izabella and I’m a fourth-year student at UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Intensive Psychology with a minor in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental (MCD) Biology. My academic background centers on the intersection of human behavior and biological systems, giving me a well-rounded foundation in both the psychological and scientific sides of health. Outside the classroom, I play for UCSC's women's lacrosse team, which has taught me a ton about teamwork, fast-paced communication, and staying resilient through challenges.

I'm super excited to be joining the NI2C internship program and to collaborate with such a passionate group. I'm especially looking forward to contributing to the Community Health Worker (CHW) team and bringing my background in psychology and biology into hands-on, community-focused work that makes a real impact.

My name is Jamie Sokoll and I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology at California State

University, Long Beach. My goal of self-realization and personal growth drives my ongoing

journey of reflection and healing, informing my empathy for others on their own learning and

healing paths. My interest in understanding human motivations and behaviors is the underlying

influence for my calling to mental health and the emotional well-being of individuals and society.

I am passionate about helping people look deeper at their trauma and challenges and to learn

the coping skills and tools that may help make life more manageable and fulfilling. I’m looking

forward to the opportunity to be a part of the Community Health Worker Affinity Cohort Team

with NI2C, a program that shares my values and will provide me with meaningful experience. 

   Hello everyone! My name is Julian Flores (He/Him) and I’m currently an undergraduate student at California State University, Fullerton. I’m majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Services. I’m truly excited to be working as a Community Health Worker with the REPAIR team at NI2C. My main interest in NI2C comes from my own previous and current experiences as well as a desire to help those around me. I’m hoping to gain more experience in the mental health field as well develop more appropriate techniques for helping others in any way possible. I hope to graduate and pursue graduate school and obtain a master’s and potentially a PhD. During free time, I enjoy going on walks, listening to music and spending time with both friends and family.  

Hello everyone, my name is Lidia Colocho, and I am currently a fourth-year student attending Cal State Long Beach, majoring in psychology. I received an Associate's Degree from a junior college. After I finish my bachelor's degree program, my plan is to apply for a master's degree in social work, utilize my knowledge and experience, and become a medical social worker within the hospital system. 

Personality-wise, I would consider myself an introvert. However, I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their backgrounds and experiences. I am passionate about helping others and working in a hospital environment. As part of the outreach team, I believe this experience connects closely with my future goal of becoming a medical social worker, because of the opportunity to help individuals find resources to help their overall well-being. In the future, I would like to focus on working with underserved communities, because I believe these areas often need additional support and access to resources.  Other than that, anyone can feel free to message me.  Hi, this is Manuel Sosa Osorio (he/him), a senior undergraduate student at California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Human Services with a concentration in mental health. I am also a transfer student from Chaffey College, where I received an associates degree in Psychology. My ultimate goal with my studies is to become a school counselor in order to give back to the community. 

I am a first generation college student, born in the US but raised in Mexico up until I was 15 years old. Now, after six years of being in the United States, with all the journey up until now, I can say with confidence that my goal in life is to help others. One of my first steps to reach this goal is by completing an internship with NI2C. I will use the tools and skills that I have learned from life, while incorporating my personal experiences to show that there are others that have gone through similar experiences. 

My motivation to hopefully become a school counselor was the help and support that I received from the people around me. Now that I feel in a better place, I feel the responsibility to give the support that at some low point in my life I received back to whoever is seeking for that support. I am looking forward to completing my internship, gaining hands-on experience, and building a solid foundation for my future career. 

  Hi everyone! My name is Mary Kim and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in

Psychology at California State University, Long Beach. After graduation, I plan to

apply for a Master’s in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I’m pursuing this path because I am passionate about helping individuals improve their mental and

emotional well-being in order to live a life that feels personally fulfilling and more

manageable through learning coping skills and shifting mental paradigms towards a

more resilient and positive outlook. I desire to help individuals navigate through their internal blocks and safely unpack their trauma so that they can reconnect with their most authentic selves.

I’m excited to be a part of the NI2C team because I will get to gain valuable hands-on experience for my career and be part of a team that is just as passionate

about personal growth and healing as I am.

Hello! My name is Mekai and I go by he/him/his pronouns. I’m a sophomore at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Psychology. I’m originally from Los Angeles County and I’m grateful for this experience with NI2C this semester. Being a CHW intern gives me the wonderful opportunity to pay it forward to the individuals and communities that have supported me unconditionally. For that, I’m deeply passionate about communities, people, and the personal stories that shape them. Aside from my academic and career interests, my heart belongs to anything artsy or crafty, animal crossing, photography and reading. I enjoy watching reality tv game shows like Survivor and Big Brother in my freetime as well.   

Hi everyone my name is Sara Gomez. Currently I am a student in my fourth year at Cal

Polytechnic Pomona. I'm majoring in communication studies and minoring in multimedia

journalism. I'm really excited to be a part of the outreach team this semester, I look forward to

working with all of you and creating new connections. For this internship I hope to bring new

ideas for the social media team and create meaningful connections through mental health. I

hope during our zoom calls we can create a supportive atmosphere for everyone. I think it's

important to express yourself while also reflecting and becoming more aware of your actions.

Luckily we have the opportunity to do this in groups and over zoom I hope by the end of the

semester we create a genuine and meaningful safe space for students.

 Hey! My name is Jackie (She/Her) and I’m currently studying psychology and criminal justice at Cal State Fullerton! I’m super excited to be a part of the NI2C team and look forward to gaining hands-on experience. After I graduate, I hope to apply to a masters program or PhD program that is centered around forensic psychology. Aside from my academic interests, I also enjoy spending my time with my friends and family. Some of my hobbies include baking, camping, going to the beach and listening to music! I am a big believer in work life balance and I am really excited for what this internship will teach me and help me grow as an individual.  

 Hi, I'm Michael! I'm currently finishing up my B.A. in Psychology at Cal State Fullerton while working full time. I have over 10 years of experience in customer service, operations, and team leadership across retail and healthcare. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I'm passionate about working with people and making a difference in the communities I serve. Outside of school and work, I'm a proud dad to an 11-year-old daughter who keeps me motivated every single day. I'm excited to be here and looking forward to learning and growing through this experience! 

Hello! My name is Adrian Santana, and I am a Human Services major at Cal State Fullerton. I am currently a fourth-year student and I am part of the Community Outreach Team. I am excited to meet everyone and get more experience connecting with people, working with the community, and learning new skills through this internship.

In the future, I hope to become a School Psychologist because I am really interested in helping students and supporting them through challenges they may face in school and in their personal lives. I feel like this internship will give me good experience with communication, outreach, and building relationships with others. I am excited to learn from everyone and see what this experience brings!

Hi, my name is Emily Oliver (she/her), and I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton. I have a growing passion for people, equality, and mental wellness especially within underserved communities. My career interests center around social work, school psychology, and MFT. I am excited to finish my final year at CSUF and continue my education through graduate studies. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active, visiting new places, finding new hobbies and practicing my creative interests like painting, etching, tattooing, etc. I am excited to be part of NI2C and the Community Outreach Team! I look forward to growing both personally and professionally while connecting with students, organizations, and members of the community.

Hello, my name is Rosemary Falcon and I am an undergrad student at Cal State university of Long Beach pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am excited to be a part of this internship program and be able to help contribute to the community. Outside of school, I like to spend my time making memories of all sorts with my little family that consists of my husband and two small children. I like to live my life in a positive attitude and I hope to learn from everyone in this internship and be able to make a positive contribution as well. 

My name is Ana Rafaela Delfin and I am a fourth year at CSUF! I am majoring in Human

Services with concentration in Mental Health. I joined NI2C because this program guided people

with their interpersonal trauma. I have noticed that this program is very client-oriented which I

appreciate a lot. A fun fact about me is that I love baking, and I know how to make an amazing

Banana Bread and Basque Cheesecake!

 My name is Eva, I am a second year attending UC Santa Cruz. I am studying Cognitive Science, and I am currently pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist. I am very passionate about mental health, I think it’s something that everyone should be cognisant of, and prioritize. 

For hobbies, I love crocheting, listening to music, watching movies, and playing drums. I love to read or listen to audiobooks when I’m out and about, my favorite genre is Romantacy. I love hanging out at Natural Bridges beach in Santa Cruz, going downtown to get boba or some food, or even clothes and jewelry. I enjoy playing card games or video games with my friends in the dorms. 

Overall I am very excited about this internship, and I hope to make some connections, and learn a lot along the way!

 Hello everyone! My name is Lyna Le (she/her), and I will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in

psychology at UC Santa Cruz. As of currently, I am transferring in as a junior after obtaining my

associate degree in psychology at a community college. In the future, my goal is to receive a

Master’s in social work or speech therapy. My own interest in psychology lies not only through

the academic lens but also through my personal experiences with mental health and its

therapeutic practices. Becoming a licensed professional in the psychology field will enable me to

support other families, children, and individuals who may need assistance navigating available

resources. I truly hope my work in the community outreach program at NIC2 will help expand

the ways diverse communities can learn about mental health and become aware of what is

available to them. This journey is something that will provide endless possibilities, and

connecting with other communities is something I will hold dearly.
